A$AP Ferg and Jaylen Brown Give Questionable Answers in GOAT Talks
Jaylen Brown and FERG have been friends for years and have the stats to prove it. In 2019, FERG gave Brown a chain worth around $20K for his birthday. Just last month, Brown joined a long list of NBA players turned rappers and released a song with FERG called “Just Do It” (the title is a thinly veiled shot at Nike for allegedly keeping Brown off the Olympic roster).
Now, the duo partnered up with Complex to have a GOAT Talk discussing everything from “worst NBA player” to trends in the hip-hop world.
Ferg has a controversial GOAT Rapper list
Starting the rap talk strong, FERG and Brown both said that their GOAT NBA rapper is Shaq. Then, the answers started taking a turn, with FERG stating his GOAT conspiracy theory is that 2Pac is still alive.
“Motherfucker be poppin’ up … He is in Cuba and speaking Spanish,” FERG said.
Despite FERG’s comical answers, he did reveal some exciting news for fans—his GOAT party song is an unreleased track called “They Thought I Was Dead,” which hopefully will surface sooner than allegedly still-alive Tupac.
However, he can keep his GOAT rapper list to himself. It started solid, with FERG naming legends like Biggie and 2Pac. It then descended into madness once he started adding names like Sexxy Red and Doja Cat into the mix, leaving even Brown confused as to what in the world was going on. Nevertheless, FERG stood on business and said “that the world needed to know.”

FERG’s full GOAT rapper list, in chronological order, is:
Biggie
Tupac
Jay-Z
Eminem
Tyler, the Creator
Lauryn Hill
Doja Cat
Sexyy Red
Snoop Dogg
Kendrick Lamar

When it came to the GOAT party song, Brown had to show love to FERG by naming “New Level.” He then updated it by adding the classic fight song “Knuck if You Buck” by Crime Mob into the mix.
While FERG looked into the past for his choice of GOAT rap beef by naming Jay-Z and Nas, Brown stayed in the present and said Kendrick and Drake.
“I think it’s over … It don’t have to be. But I think it is just in terms of what else is going to be said? Lines have been crossed,” Brown said.
The duo then was asked their opinion on Kendrick being named the Super Bowl performer for next year.
While Brown thought that “they missed the ball with Lil Wayne,” FERG said “knowing Kendrick, he is going to bring Wayne out. He has to. It just don’t make no sense.”
Brown shared his GOAT rappers list, which is:
Ye
Kendrick Lamar
50 Cent
Lil Wayne
Future
Unlike FERG, he didn’t duck the smoke and shared his WOAT rap song. Hesitant to say it at first, he said the first song that came to mind was “That Ice Spice joint … I'm not even the fart? You thought I was the shit?” Of course, FERG had to get on his head like any good friend and try to stir the pot, stating “Women is people too. They can fart and sh**.”
Overall, the video showed that the friendship the two have is not just for the cameras and might give Lil Baby and James Harden a run for their money.

J. Cole is Getting Back in His Bag on ‘The Fall Off’
Fans have been waiting on J. Cole’s next project since they got a teaser of what’s to come with April’s Might Delete Later. Now, J. Cole’s close friend and rapper Trae Tha Truth (who was featured on the outro for a song off the project called “Trae Tha Truth in Ibiza”), shared some updates about Cole’s upcoming album The Fall Off.
J. Cole is about to get in his bag
During an appearance on The Breakfast Club on September 2, Trae Tha Truth shared his perspective on the album.
Addressing those who saw J. Cole’s apology to Kendrick as a weak move, he said “That isn’t his energy. He is focused on his album. If you look at his tape that came out, the last song was meant to be ‘Trae Tha Truth in Ibiza.’ So that’s why at the end when I say ‘Even if we fall off, we don’t fall off,’ that was the outro but the pre-intro for his new album, ‘The Fall Off’” before “7 Minute Drill” threw off the order.
J. Cole’s 'The Fall Off' is coming & will "shock a lot of people", says Trae Tha Truth 👀
“His album coming. And when it [does], it’s probably gonna shock alot of people.”
“So remember what I tell y’all, a lot of people form opinions and they don’t fully know the situation.”

Despite people still thinking that J. Cole should have stood his ground, Trae Tha Truth said not to “get it fucked up — his album coming … And when the album coming, it’s probably gonna shock a lot of people. Remember what I tell you all the time: a lot of people form opinions on a lot of things and they don’t fully know the situation. He’ll be aight. Before it’s too late, you never know what bro what may do.”
Regardless of whether you believe J. Cole should or shouldn’t have stood in the line of fire as Kendrick yelled “Dracarys” on the rap game, there seems to be new heat on the way that hopefully delivers.
it better shock ppl because J Cole as good as he is, if he don’t deliver on this album, the internet gonna wrote him off
