Billboard Hot 100

Billboard Hot 100 chart

As reported by Billboard for the week of November 16.

The above chart shows Billboard’s Hot 100 ranking for this week. The Hot 100 ranks songs based on streaming activity, radio airplay audience impressions, and sales data—all measured by Luminate.

Tyler, the Creator, is still all over the chart this week with songs from CHROMAKOPIA, while “Not Like Us” and “Timeless” are working to make a comeback.

Why is Lil Uzi Vert Naming Frank Ocean “CFO?”

Lil Uzi Vert, Frank Ocean, and stacks of money

On November 1, Uzi finally dropped the sequel to 2020’s Eternal Atake. However, it unfortunately just didn’t hit the same as previous bangers like Pink Tape or Luv is Rage 2.

From its overly repetitive lyrics to boring beats, there were plenty of dissatisfied Uzi fans. People began dropping their theories on why Uzi dropped a project that felt half-baked online—and the rapper might have responded directly to them.

The Frank Ocean theories have begun

One viral theory claims that Eternal Atake 2 only dropped to fulfill a contractual obligation, similar to what Frank Ocean did with Blonde and Endless. In 2016, Ocean dropped the visual album Endless to finalize his record deal with Def Jam, and the next day dropped the album Blonde under his label Boys Don’t Cry.

Reactions to the theory were mixed, with X user EpicOps in a November 10 post stating that “every excuse in the books still won't save that album from being garbage.” Nevertheless, Lil Uzi Vert seems to have added fuel to the fire by posting “CFO” Ocean to his Instagram story.

While some believe that this post confirms that Uzi pulled a Frank Ocean with his contract, others take a completely different view.

Some of the most popular guesses include Ocean and Uzi potentially going into business together, the artist being featured on EA2 deluxe, or even Uzi on Frank’s new project (that we may never get).

Regardless of what Uzi meant by the post, the desire for an album redo is stronger now than ever since teasing new frequent releases.

“Yeah. I’m on go. I’m not even lying … They thought I was lying a few minutes ago. Now the tape is coming, everybody’s like, 'You weren’t lying.' They swore I was lying. They were cursing me out,” Uzi said in a November interview with Rolling Stone.

Maybe Thugga and Gunna Aren’t All Good?

Young Thug and Gunna

As a part of his plea deal, Young Thug cannot have any contact with co-defendants involved in the YSL RICO case. However, he asked and was granted permission to reach out to his brother Quantavious Grier (AKA Unfoonk) and fellow ATL rapper Gunna.

After months of being called a “snitch” or “rat,” fans realized they might owe Gunna an apology.  However, the president of the Drake fan club, DJ Akademiks, is saying “Not so fast.”

Does Thugga feel some “Type of Way?”

The streamer on November 8 claimed that Young Thug personally told rappers like Lil Durk and Lil Baby that Gunna was a snitch.

“I am telling you this. I don’t give a f*** if you believe me. He sent a message to Durk, Baby, and a few other rappers but I won’t call out their names just because some of them told me in privacy,” Akademiks said

Fans are taking this news with a grain of salt considering who it is coming from, like X user Dat saying “I only want to hear it from thug himself. Not this guy.”

However, Young Thug seemingly confirmed what Akademiks was saying in a post-and-delete on X on November 9.

Members of his fanbase don’t believe the post came from the rapper due to the plea deal and Instagram user nflpreme claiming “they have never seen Thug use a comma tbh.”

Adding fuel to the bonfire of rumors was Gunna’s brother, who commented, “Trust and believe the feeling is mutual P,” on The Shade Room’s post about Young Thug’s words. Ironically, that comment has also been deleted.

Only time will tell if Thugga has an issue. He was already seen back in the studio with Future, Lil Baby, and Travis Scott — but no Gunna.
