Song Streams & Revenue

As reported by Hits Daily Double for May 24 to 30.

It’s a new song revenue chart, different from Wednesday’s update. As reported by Hits Daily Double, which tracks streaming revenue week over week, the above chart reflects the streaming period from May 17 to 23.

This week's only new entry is Central Cee and Lil Baby’s “BAND4BAND,” which generated $63K and $13M streams in its opening week. Drake’s “Family Matters” has fallen off the chart and is replaced by Sexyy Red’s “Get It Sexyy” which earned $51K from 11M streams.

More “Family Matters” Claims Disproven, Is Drake Finally Accepting His Loss?

Drake has been taking “back-to-back” losses regarding his overall reputation this week. On the night of June 6, Drake suddenly deleted all of his Kendrick Lamar disses from his Instagram. To both his fans and haters, it seems that the “Champagne Papi” is putting down the bottles and throwing in the towel.

“Bro be hearing meet the Grahams in his sleep,” said IG user don_capone_14, commenting on the news.

Others, like u/victxr_t, called out Drake supporters, stating “Drake fans fighting for their lives in the comments.”

Family Matters or Truth Matters? More Kendrick disses prove to be false

It was more or less assumed that both sides of the rap civil war colored outside the truth with their diss tracks. But it’s one thing to have disses thrown be questionable and another to have them look like a flat-out lie.

On “Family Matters,” Drake said, “K-Dot shit is only hittin’ hard when Baby Keem put his pen to it,” insinuating that Keem ghostwrites for Kendrick. Yet, a reference track for Baby Keem’s song “Bullies” was leaked, showing that Kendrick allegedly wrote the song for him.

This is just one of many Uno Reverse cards on Drake’s head…

An anonymous X account already revealed last month that the items in Kendrick’s “Meet the Grahams” cover did belong to Drake, not his father—proving Drake lied about intentionally planting them on “The Heart Pt. 6.”

Meanwhile, Drake also said on “Family Matters” that Kendrick doesn’t give back to Compton. Fans quickly began recounting stories and sharing proof of Kendrick’s charitable acts in his hometown.

For example, in 2015, K. Dot donated $50,000 to his old high school’s music program. He also copped shoes for an entire youth basketball team in Compton when he saw them practicing while shooting footage for one of his tours.

K. Dot is just getting started

After silently deleting the Kendrick disses, Drake went back to his usual social media antics, posting new pictures around his home and an enormous Stake bet on the NBA finals as if nothing ever happened.

The damage to Drake’s credibility, regardless of trying to pull off the “unbothered cute and funny rapper” image, is shot. And Kendrick is about to start his victory lap.

He announced a show in Los Angeles this upcoming Juneteenth featuring himself and some of his friends. He is also featured in the new trailer for Pharrell Williams’ new LEGO life story movie.

In comparison, Kendrick continues to “pop out and show” everyone why he is one of the best, while Drake is proving that maybe he isn’t as bulletproof as fans thought.

Does Drake deleting the disses admit defeat?

We Might Finally Get ‘Savage Mode III’

It’s time to get back into your savage bag—There might be new Metro Boomin and 21 Savage music in the works. The producer tweeted an instrumental clip on his X page. When X user ItsJayTeeGee_ quoted the tweet and said that it sounded like Savage Mode III, Metro simply responded with eye emojis.

21 Savage and Metro go way back…

Fans are excited to see what’s to come, with X user ChrisJHall95 tweeting that “the world is ready for SAVAGE MODE 3.”

This would be the newest addition to the Savage Mode series since 2020’s Savage Mode II. The album debuted in October 2020 at number one on the Billboard 200 chart. The duo have been working together since the original Savage Mode album dropped in 2016.

…What is Drake doing here?

However, a certain Canadian third wheel has made rap enthusiasts wonder if the Savage and Metro are still close. 21 Savage and Drake have both a personal friendship and professional relationship, even going on the It’s All A Blur Tour in 2023.

Metro and Drizzy do not have the same type of friendly energy and were vocal about their dislike of each other during the rap civil war. After Drake told Metro to “go make some drums” on “Push Ups,” Metro did exactly that.

In a genius move, Metro released the BBL Drizzy beat that went so viral he had baseball fans singing along to it rather than “Take Me Out to the Ballgame.”

Offering his insight on the beef, 21 said on Instagram Live, “Metro my brother and Drake my brother. They gonna figure that s***t out eventually.”

Regardless, Metro has trolled 21 about the issue. On 21’s Instagram Live in late May, Metro commented that he “JUS KNOW [21 Savage] GOT A OWL TRAMP STAMP.” 21 then kicked Metro off of his live, saying that he was “finna block this n****. Metro, shut your h**  a** up and make some drums…”

Any moves to hold us over?

As 21 continues his American Dream Tour with JID, Nardo Wick, and 21 Lil Harold, Metro is ballin’ with the NBA.

The producer dropped a commercial promoting the 2024 NBA Finals as part of a new partnership with the NBA on ESPN/ABC. The featured music is “Runnin' Outta Time” from his Future collab album WE DON’T TRUST YOU.

While there’s no set date yet on Savage Mode III, the buzz of new music is still giving fans what they need.

Are we getting 'Savage Mode III' this year?
