As reported by Billboard for the week of October 5.

The above chart shows Billboard’s Hot 100 ranking for this week. The Hot 100 ranks songs based on streaming activity, radio airplay audience impressions, and sales data—all measured by Luminate.

Kendrick’s “Not Like Us” remains its top ten spot from the week before, while “Million Dollar Baby” takes another dip. Meanwhile, MIXTAPE PLUTO from Future is making a strong debut on the charts, with every song from the project, including “Too Fast” and “Lil Demon,” taking over the chart this week.

What Does Ye’s New BULLY Album Mean for VULTURES 3?

Ye and Ty Dolla $ign have been taking the VULTURES experience internationally, performing shows in countries like China and South Korea. Allegedly, Ye had gotten a lot of inspiration for a new record while performing in South Korea and was getting back into his creative zone.

With any Ye album announcement, fans doubted Ye’s “boy who cried wolf” routine. However, Ye delivered a hopeful update to fans while performing at another listening experience in Haikou, China, on September 28.

Ye is getting in his BULLY bag

Ye announced to the screaming crowd that he has a “new album coming out…The album is called Bully, and this song is called 'Beauty and the Beast.'” You can listen to it here on X.

While he didn’t provide additional details about what was to come, he did start his rollout online. On September 30, he posted a new photo to his Instagram, simply captioning the photo “BULLY” (seen in the image above).

Fans are already developing theories about the title's meaning and what the album could potentially sound like.

“Definitely JIK - Donda vibes imo and i’m only saying this cause an unreleased donda song was played for half a second and a ‘donda leftover’ was played according to mike dean,” Reddit user Embarrassed-Day-5427 said in a September 28 post.

Will we ever get ‘Vultures 3’?

There is also speculation about what this means for VULTURES 3, the highly-anticipated closer to the trilogy Ye and Ty Dolla $ign have been crafting for years.

“I feel like with him now starting the rollout for Bully, that means either the VULTURES era is done or VULTURES 3 will come out after Bully,” Reddit user Creepy_Nature_2665 said in a September 28 post.

One thing everyone can agree on, though, is that this album is most likely going to be delayed 30 times over—but it will probably be great.

“Announce a date in a few weeks, go silent for 6 months, posts a story, goes silent, posts a new release date, go silent, miss release date, drop on a random Friday in 2026,” Reddit user Plastic-Walrus-2508 said in a September 28 post.

It is now all up to Ye to finally break the delay cycle or lead his fans on another wild ride to a new record (that hopefully is fully finished this time).

Kendrick Lamar Starts Filming Movie with ‘South Park’ Creators & It Sounds Wild

It has been a wild year for Kendrick Lamar to say the least. He has gone from simply mending his business in the rap game to proclaiming himself the “Top Dawg” with the hits and numbers to prove it.

Recently dropping “Watch The Party Die” on September 11 and gearing up for a Super Bowl performance next year, it seems that Kendrick still has plenty more to say. However, K. Dot is now planning on dominating in more than just music—he is going to be hitting the big screen.

Kendrick behind the scenes

He was spotted filming on September 30 for the new live-action-comedy movie from the creators of South Park, Matt Stone and Trey Parker. See the video on X here.

Major details about the film, like the official cast, have been kept under wraps since it was first announced in 2022. The untitled film, though, will “depict the past and present coming to a head when a young Black man who is interning as a slave reenactor at a living history museum discovers that his white girlfriend’s ancestors once owned his.”

Release date

The movie is set to release on July 4th, 2025, with Lamar and Dave Free both signed on as producers under pgLang. News of the release first came during Paramount’s CinemaCon presentation in April 2024.

“This script is one of the funniest and most original scripts we’ve ever read, and it’s certain to create some fireworks,” said Paramount’s CEO Brian Robbins, making a July 4th pun.

At first glance, the film’s plot sounds like an episode of Black Mirror. Still, given that it’s a comedy, it’s likely in a similar vein to 2018’s Sorry to Bother You, starring LaKeith Stanfield, which satirized gentrification and racism in the workplace.

This isn’t the first time that Lamar has worked with Stone and Parker. He used the duo’s deepfake technology from their company for the 2022 music video for “The Heart Part Five.”

Kendrick might have plenty of haters trying to slow him down, like Drake allegedly trying to restrict his Super Bowl performance like the opp he truly is. Nevertheless, there is still plenty to come from Lamar and his associates to look forward to next year and beyond.

Will y’all be seeing the new movie?
