Songs Streams & Revenue

Streaming revenue chart

As reported by Hits Daily Double for the week of January 31 to February 6.

It’s a new week and a new song revenue chart. As reported by Hits Daily Double, which tracks streaming revenue week over week, the above chart reflects the streaming period from January 31 to February 6.

Kendrick’s Super Bowl success has boosted his numbers for songs including “squabble up” and “Not Like Us” even more. Meanwhile, Doechii and The Weeknd are securing the bag with their tracks “DENIAL IS A RIVER” and “Cry For Me.”

TDE Responds to Kai Cenat’s Super Bowl Claims

Kendrick Lamar might have broken Super Bowl records with his halftime performance, but that doesn’t mean everyone was a fan. Whether they were expecting more spectacle or additional special guests, numerous people online sounded more like Samuel L. Jackson’s “Uncle Sam” than Lamar fans.

One of the people who called out K. Dot’s performance is Kai Cenat, the streamer who once threw up gang signs while listening to “Not Like Us.”

Kai Cenat says the crowd’s enthusiasm was cap

During a recent stream, Cenat shared his thoughts on attending the Super Bowl, including Lamar’s performance. While viewers at home could hear the crowd scream “A minor” at the top of their lungs, the streamer says it wasn’t as loud as you may think.

“If anybody was there, y’all felt it. Crowd was making no noise… But what I will say is, the symbolism behind that performance was top tier,” he said. Drake, of course in his usual sneaky bag, reportedly liked a video of the streamer talking about the alleged audience volume.

Other POVs from the viral moment beg to differ, with users on X calling out Cenat for allegedly lying, and now TDE has responded as well.

TDE has words for Kai

According to TDE manager HWood, Cenat had negative comments about Lamar’s performance because he allegedly “didn't [get] access to dot suite!!! lol... I was there thats what it is!! Lol"

Cenat hasn’t responded yet to HWood’s comments, but one thing is for sure — Lamar is not the one to mess with.

Even legends like Serena Williams (seen crip walking in the Super Bowl performance) said during the 2024 ESPYS that if she had “learned anything this year, it’s that none of us—not a single one of us, not even me—should ever pick a fight with Kendrick Lamar.”

The chance of us getting a stream with Cenat and Lamar together now looks slim. Hopefully, the streamer can escape without the Compton native coming for him on wax.

Was the crowd really singing that loud?

Mustard Says Drake Should Avoid “Tactics and Gimmicks”

Mustard on stage

Drizzy might be on an Australian sabbatical right now, turquoise boots in tow, but he can’t escape the clowning online thanks to Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl performance.

In his usual sneak diss fashion, he threw shade at Serena Williams after the historic performance but hasn’t said anything to K. Dot yet. Maybe he finally learned not to poke the boogeyman? Either way, a surprising source offered their POV on what his next moves should be.

Mustard to the rescue

In an interview on Big Boy’s Neighborhood the day after the Super Bowl, Mustard was asked what Drizzy should do next. Rather than focusing on the Toronto rapper directly, the producer shared advice that all artists can follow.

“I actually don’t think about what he could do. I have no idea,” Mustard said. “I just try to stay aligned with pure shit, just being pure and being on the right side of things — not doing no tactics and gimmicks.”

Clarifying his perspective, he added, “I’m not speaking at Drake or for him, but a lot of shit that’s going on — the tactics, the things that you do just to get attention. You don’t need to do that. Just make music, man. Make good music, and you’ll be fine.”

While Mustard avoided naming any specific attention-seeking stunts, another figure in hip-hop didn’t hold back. Joe Budden, in a separate issue with Drake, criticized the rapper’s recent choices, including his turquoise boots, a fashion statement that, intentional or not, has certainly attracted plenty of attention.

Drake just dropped his new album with PARTYNEXTDOOR in time for Valentine’s Day, which may distract the haters from recent events. Nevertheless, it’s got to be hard to get a good night’s sleep with “SAY DRAKE” echoing in your head.
