Billboard Hot 100
The above chart shows Billboard’s Hot 100 ranking for this week. The Hot 100 ranks songs based on streaming activity, radio airplay audience impressions, and sales data—all measured by Luminate.
“Luther” from K. Dot and SZA is solidifying itself as a potential “song of the summer“ contender as Doechii’s “Anxiety” is continuing its hot streak, and the Drake diss “Not Like Us” maintains its position from the week before.

Playboi Carti’s ‘BABY BOI’ Might Really Be Done
F1LTHY has been a key architect of Playboi Carti’s sound for years now. His grimy, distorted production helped define Whole Lotta Red (see: “Rockstar Made,” “New Tank”) and carried straight into Carti’s latest album, MUSIC, with bangers like “CRUSH” and “RATHER LIE.” He’s not just a behind-the-scenes guy either—he’s signed to Carti’s Opium label and is basically part of the vamp family tree at this point. The synergy? Unmatched. Like Venus and Serena, if they were into leather, chaos, and strobe lights.
So when fans start panicking about BABY BOI — AKA the mythical, possibly-real Carti album that’s been “coming soon” — they turn to F1LTHY for answers, and this time, he actually gave one.
It’s almost go time
After a fan on X claimed BABY BOI was gonna get scrapped (cue collective eye roll), F1LTHY jumped in to shut it down. According to him, the album is done. However, Carti and his team are too busy pushing MUSIC to drop it just yet. So, yeah — new music is on pause, but not because it doesn’t exist.
He’s not the only one saying it’s in the vault. DJ Swamp Izzo (Carti’s so-called “spiritual guide” and MUSIC collaborator) also confirmed the album is complete. According to him, there are 50 to 60 tracks recorded. Yes, 5-0 to 6-0. Enough to make a BABY BOI cinematic universe.
“[Is it] completed to his liking? I couldn't say. But they're done. If I was still in that mixtape era, we'd have BABY BOI one through nine. Fifteen years ago, we were so heartfelt on them exclusives. We couldn't even sleep until we put it out before everybody…” he told Complex.
Translation: Carti’s sitting on a mountain of songs and choosing chaos instead.
Naturally, fans aren’t holding their breath. They’ve been burned before. Repeatedly. But hey, hope is a stubborn little thing—and if we do get two Carti projects in one year? That’s not just a win, that’s a once-in-a-lunar-eclipse event.

Everything We Know About Tory Lanez’s Stabbing in Prison
After a highly publicized and controversial trial, Tory Lanez (AKA Daystar Peterson) was sentenced to ten years in prison in August 2023, following his conviction on three felony counts related to the 2020 shooting of rapper Megan Thee Stallion (AKA Megan Pete).
Since then, Pete has been granted a five-year restraining order against the rapper, and Lanez has continued to put out and tease new music. Just last Friday Lanez teased that his second album has fully completed and that his new genre, “Slutty Bass” will be revealed soon. However, his future music plans may now be on hold.
A suspect has been identified
On May 12, Lanez was reportedly stabbed and rushed to the hospital after being attacked by another inmate at the California Correctional Institution (CCI). The incident occurred Monday morning in the prison yard. A spokesperson told ABC News that “staff immediately responded, activated 911, and began medical aid. Peterson was subsequently transported to an outside medical facility for further treatment.”
The man accused of attacking Lanez has been identified as Santino Casio, who is currently serving a life sentence for murder. Officials told BBC that Casio has been placed in “restricted housing” while an investigation is launched into the attack on Lanez.
Casio “was sentenced to life with the possibility of parole for second-degree murder, first-degree attempted murder, personal use of a dangerous or deadly weapon, and inflict [sic] great bodily injury,” said a statement from the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR).
This is reportedly not the first time Casio has attacked another inmate. In January 2008, he added six years to his sentence for assaulting a prisoner with a deadly weapon, and in June 2018, he was sentenced to two more years for the possession of a deadly weapon.
As for Lanez, Casio’s alleged attack left the rapper in critical condition. He sustained 14 stab wounds — seven to his back, four to his torso, two to the back of his head, and one to the left side of his face. Despite both of his lungs collapsing, he is reportedly breathing on his own. The update came via a statement posted to his Instagram account.
“Despite being in pain, he is talking normally, in good spirits, and deeply thankful to God that he is pulling through,” read the statement, giving some hopeful news to the fans who have shared support and concern about his recovery.

Kid Cudi is releasing an autobiography. Titled Cudi the Memoir, it is set to drop on August 5.
Ye’s upcoming album is already causing controversy. CUCK could potentially be banned in Russia for promoting Nazism, drug use, and more.
Kai Cenat hit a music milestone. His collab with NLE Choppa, “BUSTDOWN ROLLIE AVALANCHE,” is officially RIAA-gold.
