Songs Streams & Revenue
It’s a new week and a new song revenue chart. As reported by Hits Daily Double, which tracks streaming revenue week over week, the above chart reflects the streaming period from April 25 to May 1.
Drake’s “NOKIA” is still going strong in song revenue, and BigXThaPlug going country pays off big time. Meanwhile, Young Thug and Future’s newest collab “Money on Money” makes its way on the chart this week.

Are Ye and Carti Calling a Truce?
The relationship between Ye and Carti went up in flames quicker than you can say “Where is BABY BOI?” Just last November, the Opium rapper announced that Ye would be involved in his latest project, MUSIC.
“Shout out to my n**** Kanye, you know what I’m saying… He over here making beats and shit. That album gonna be crazy, I can’t wait to show y’all n*****,” he said on the mic while celebrating at a club during ComplexCon weekend.
Fast-forward to March. Carti drops MUSIC (30 tracks deep) and guess who’s missing? Yep, Ye. The man who was supposedly cooking up beats just a few months prior didn’t even make the cut. According to Ye, it wasn’t just Carti going ghost. It was personal. So when Carti tried to hit up Kim Kardashian about collabing with North West, Ye took it as a declaration of war.
Despite Carti telling Ye to “STFU,” Yeezy has continued to go on rants about him ever since, making sure everyone knows he’s hurt. He went full heartbreak mode during a sit-down with DJ Akademiks, revealing that he and Carti were actually working on a joint mixtape before the fallout.
“…You’re reposting my baby momma and not even reposting me…You were the first feature on Donda. It’s like the Carti shit is like the final heartbreak,” he told DJ Akademiks in their interview.
There has been a lot of bad blood between the two, with Carti allegedly even pulling up on Ye with a gun (King Vamp hasn’t responded to this allegation yet). Regardless, there still may be a reconciliation.
The producer Digital Nas (who has been seen around Ye the past couple of months) shared an update while on Sneako’s stream on May 12 (another recent Yeezy groupie). Over the phone, Nas said that “Ye is in touch with [Carti affiliate] Fritz [Owens]. I think we’re going to see a reunion soon. Hopefully. I don’t like to see my brothers separated.”
The reaction to the news has been mixed, with some people hoping that this means Ye and Travis Scott will also reunite, while others are calling the news the worst thing they’ve heard all day.
Neither Ye nor Carti has responded publicly, but given both artists’ track record with delays, contradictions, and spontaneous outbursts, we could be weeks—or 12 Yeezy rants—away from any real update. Still, in the twisted soap opera that is Ye’s life, nothing’s ever really over.

Why DDG is Facing a Restraining Order
Back in 2022, DDG (AKA Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr.) hard-launched his relationship with singer and Little Mermaid star Halle Bailey. Of course, there were some haters, but the Internet put heart-eyes and crying emojis over all their posts and subsequent YouTube moments together.
The couple revealed that they had a child named Halo in January 2024, but things eventually turned sour. In October, DDG announced that he and Bailey broke up, stating that they "cherish the bond we've built and the beautiful moments we've shared." Unfortunately, things got worse when the rapper decided to tell the world via stream in March that he hadn’t been able to see his son.
“I don’t like putting y’all in my business, but I don’t know what else to do. But I know the internet moves people…I just want to see my son, that’s it. I love being a dad and I want to be a dad, plain and simple,” he said.
On May 13, things escalated when it was revealed that Bailey had been granted a restraining order against DDG.
What’s the restraining order for?
Court documents show that Bailey and their son Halo were granted an ex parte order (a legal decision made without input from the other party) citing ongoing abuse. The order requires DDG to stay at least 100 yards away from both Bailey and Halo until a hearing scheduled for June 6.
Bailey is also permitted to travel with Halo to Italy, where she will be filming a new movie for eight weeks starting June 7. Additionally, Bailey requested that DDG be barred from discussing her publicly, including on his social media and livestreams.
She specifically referenced a May 5 Twitch stream, aired the same night as the Met Gala, during which DDG broadcasted about not being able to see his son again. Bailey alleges the stream was deliberately timed to harm her.
“He went live on his Twitch channel, voicing that he was unable to see his son, implying that I was keeping Halo from him…He then created a fire storm of media around ‘freeing Halo’ from me… Darryl’s Mother and I had texted about my whereabouts a week prior, and Darryl did not wish to see Halo after his last visit, the timing of his Twitch posts was intended to ruin my night, which it did,” Bailey said.
The court documents also mention alleged instances of abuse, citing an instance in January when the rapper came to pick up Halo, which turned into a conversation about the visitation schedule. DDG allegedly told Bailey to “get out of my car, BITCH,” which led to the interaction getting more physical.
“At one point, Darryl was pulling my hair. He then slammed my face on the steering wheel, causing my tooth to get chipped. I then stopped fighting back as I was in a lot of pain,” Bailey said. She included pictures of her injuries, like the chipped tooth and bruises on her arms.
She also claims that DDG entered her house without her permission and took a picture of her empty bed with the caption “now I know what u been on lol.”
DDG reacted to the news live while on Adin Ross’ livestream on May 14, stating that “that can’t even be real.”
DDG loses custody of Halo
Since the news broke, Bailey has been granted sole physical and legal custody of Halo and has asked the court to limit unsupervised contact. She proposed that if there were any visits allowed, that they occur in Los Angeles while monitored by a “professional visitation service.”
There is also a request for a child abduction prevention order, stating that DDG has previously hidden Halo and threatened to take him away or cooperate with Bailey. Unless she gives written permission, she has asked the court for DDG to be barred from holding or applying for Halo’s travel documents like a passport.
“I realize that there is no placating Darryl. I cannot allow this abuse any longer. I cannot keep living like this,” Bailey said in her statement to the court.
The streaming community (for better or for worse) has rallied behind DDG since the news broke, but overwhelmingly, people are showing their support and love for Bailey and Halo at this time.
