Ye’s Latest Rants Feature Jay-Z, Frank Ocean — And Taylor Swift?

Ye and Taylor

Ye has been treating social media like a personal diary lately—and most of what he’s been posting probably should’ve stayed in the drafts. Still, that hasn’t stopped him from sharing his constantly shifting emotions with the world, for better or worse. No one is safe—especially not the artists he once collaborated with.

Take Jay-Z, for example. The two dropped a whole project together (2011’s Watch the Throne), yet Ye still took shots at Hov’s family. Now, he’s issued what could be considered an apology… kind of. At the same time, he’s keeping other artists like Taylor Swift and Frank Ocean on high alert.

Ye says he's sorry (but not really)

On March 21, Ye boldly declared on X that he would “never apologize to the Carters.” Fast forward to April 10, and he walked that back—sort of—in a now-deleted X post apologizing to Hov.

Now that he’s gotten that off his chest, Ye is back to storytelling, trolling, and dragging more artists into the fold. During an April 8 livestream with producer Digital Nas, Ye brought up Frank Ocean—again (he already came for Frank in a previous convo with DJ Akademiks). This time, Ye claimed Frank tried to talk him out of supporting current U.S. President Donald Trump.

"Frank Ocean p**** a** come over my house talking about Trump all day and how I shouldn't support Trump," he said. "N**** f*** you know about politics and n**** I'm your mother****** senior, OG, y'all used to come on tour with me," he said.

But he wasn’t done yet. Ye also reignited his long-running feud with Taylor Swift, proof that the beef that started at the 2009 VMAs is apparently immortal.

In a since-deleted post, the rapper gave the world "an example of racism. Justin Bieber and Harry Styles f**ked Taylor Swift from both sides and didn't call me…ON EVERYTHIIING THIS TWEET IS ONE THOUSAND PERCENT TRUE."

This isn’t the first time Ye has spoken about Swift in disturbing terms. On his 2016 track “Famous,” he famously rapped about wanting to sleep with her and featured a wax figure of her lying in bed next to him, Kim Kardashian, Trump, and others.

Understandably, fans and followers are feeling disgusted and exhausted by Ye’s recent behavior. As more names get pulled into the whirlwind, one thing’s clear: someone needs to take his phone away—ASAP.

Travis Scott Reveals Unknown Story From “GATTI” With Pop Smoke

Travis and Pop Smoke

In December 2019, Travis Scott and the late Pop Smoke linked up for the song “GATTI” from the first JACKBOYS compilation. The drill track peaked at No. 69 on the Hot 100 and marked Pop Smoke’s first entry on the chart. Unfortunately, two months later, Pop Smoke would lose his life at just 20 years old in an armed robbery shooting while staying in Los Angeles.

In a new episode of Complex’s On Display series, Scott discussed creating the music video with Pop Smoke and the major purchase he made for the love of the game.

La Flame needed a “GATTI”

Instead of renting the luxury Bugatti Chiron (allegedly worth more than 5 million dollars) seen in the music video, Scott bought the vehicle out of the lot to make the visuals more authentic.

“I remember I was doing the song, and Pop’s like, ‘You know, we gotta bring Bugattis out, man!’ I forgot who was helping us with the video,” Scott recalled. “The guy was like, ‘Yeah, man, I know somebody that can bring some Bugattis out for us’…I’m thinking, ‘Bring ’em out for us?’ Nah, fuck that. So I’m like, ‘Naw, I’m just gonna go and get this.’ We was at the shoot, me and Pop. He was like, ‘Man, d*** bro. This shit smells brand new.’ I was like ‘Yeah, bro. I just got it like a week ago,’” he said.

During their link-up, Scott made sure to give the Brooklyn native his flowers, not knowing this would be their first and last collaboration.

“You one of the illest rappers…I feel like you changing the whole sound of New York. I don’t even know if you know right now, but from the sound of the beats to the way you putting it together, it’s gonna create an allegiance of sound and the creatives so you gonna have a million [Bugattis],” he said to Pop Smoke.

In the rest of the video from Complex, Scott showed off other cars in his collection, including his Lamborghini Urus and Mercedes-Maybach G650 Landaulet. However, his story about Pop Smoke hit fans the hardest.
