Songs Streams & Revenue

Song streaming revenue chart

As reported by Hits Daily Double for the week of November 29 to December 5.

It’s a new week and a new song revenue chart. As reported by Hits Daily Double, which tracks streaming revenue week over week, the above chart reflects the streaming period from November 29 to December 5.

Despite the success of Tyler, the Creator’s CHROMAKOPIA, tracks from Kendrick Lamar’s surprise drop GNX took over the top spot during their second week of release. However, “Sticky” held on with steady streams and revenue rolling in.

A Ye Deposition From 2021 Has Hit the Internet

Ye in 2021 deposition

Throughout his career, Ye has had plenty of controversial moments. He took the shine from Taylor Swift and tried to give his flowers to Beyoncé at the 2009 MTV VMAs. He wore “White Lives Matter” shirts with Candace Owens, and his antisemitic comments caused Adidas to cut ties with him back in 2022. Now, Ye has landed himself back in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons.

Breaking down the nightmare deposition

Ye was arguing with attorney Michael Popok via Zoom in a sneak preview clip of an upcoming A&E show called Interrogation Raw: Celebrity Under Oath (premiering on December 26).

The deposition dealt with a lawsuit the rapper was facing from the company MyChannel, Inc., which said that the partnership offer from Ye was just a way for him to "fuel his Yeezy brand and steal confidential tech to make millions on Sunday Service." They asked for over $20 million in damages, but it was reported later that the two parties reached a dismissal agreement.

Before everything was back on good terms, though, Ye had to face the music. Initially, the rapper was wearing a hat while looking down at something. When asked if he was also using his phone during the meeting, he confirmed that he was “due to my mental geniusness, in order to focus on this bullshit, I need to be on a phone.”

The laughs don’t stop there. After turning his phone off, Ye substituted the device for a face covering. When asked why he wore this mask, the rapper simply responded, “You don’t have the right to see my face,” suggesting it was “perhaps” his intention to wear it the entire time.

It only gets more chaotic from here.

When asked where he was located, Ye said, “I’m not gonna tell you! You’re never going to see me again … Are you stupid? I am not going to tell you all the things I don’t have the time to be talking about. I got a chair in the room. You are talking to the richest Black person in the history of America.”

Forever social media troll 50 Cent called the footage “the best shit I have seen.” However, others online are calling Ye an “overgrown performative spoiled crybaby.” Regardless of how you feel about it, the rapper has proven time and time again that he is going to speak his mind, for better or worse.

Lil Baby Finds “A Safe Place” With Lil Yachty

Lil Baby and Lil Yachty

Months after crashing out on his former co-host Mitch and Concrete Boys signee Karrahbooo on Instagram Live, Lil Yachty revived the “A Safe Place” podcast. Rocking a Mase-inspired haircut, the rapper sat down with Lil Baby to discuss all things music, Thugga, and how he really feels about snitching.

First, though, the more positive news is that WHAM is not the only project that the rapper has in the works. He revealed on the show that WHAM will drop on January 3, but his next album, Dominique, will be released the following month (February 2025).

“I feel like WHAM is more like me on some young n**** shit … fast cars, girls, jewelry, money — the turnt lifestyle. Dominique is the more serious me,” Lil Baby said.

The conversation turned to his collaborators, with Lil Baby saying he is “definitely happy Slime is home.” He then shared more exclusive news—that he was at Thugga’s house the day it was raided and left just two hours prior.

“That shit really could have been me. N**** had to change their whole life around … These are n***** that I grew up around,” he said.

Understandably, the rapper isn’t the biggest fan of snitches, especially after watching what his friend went through.

“I am always going to look at certain stuff a certain way … It boils down to what we are rapping about. We can’t rap about that if you did that. If I was making Christmas music, then I don’t give a damn what you did,” he said.

He also recently sat down with Charlamagne Tha God and discussed his current relationship with Gunna.

“We don’t got no relationship … The Internet will say anything. You know how many hits I got? I only see what I gotta see … I don’t read comments and all that,” he said.

With the Internet now knowing where Lil Baby stands, the hype to hear his new music is only growing.

Are you excited to hear WHAM?
