Ye Wants to Gut Another Mansion to Build a City?
With his new album BULLY (hopefully) coming sooner rather than later, fans thought that Ye would be extending his residence in Japan. However, it looks like he isn’t over the California lifestyle.
He recently purchased a 35-million-dollar home in Beverly Hills, sitting on nearly seven acres of land with a gazebo, waterfall pool straight from a resort, and more. In true Ye fashion, though, his plans for his new crib go beyond just relaxing in the sun.
The city of DROAM is back
As news of his recent purchase spread online, Ye confirmed it on his Instagram story by scribbling over the home and simply adding the word “DROAM.”
Last December, Ye first shared a press release about his idea of creating his own self-sustaining city in the Middle East called DROAM. Stating it was still in Phase 1 development, he said that the city would be over 100,000 acres of land, and he needed everyone from engineers to project managers to join the team.
While his new property is only seven acres, it could still be a major achievement — if only his neighbors were on board.
Other homeowners in Ye’s new neighborhood of North Beverly Park told TMZ it would be a battle to get the community’s homeowners association on board with this idea. On top of that, he would have to spend millions just to get enough room.
Ye recently lost about 36 million dollars from the purchase and sale of his Malibu home after gutting and destroying it. Someone else might think twice before running that plan back, but once Ye has an idea, he’s going to stick with it till the wheels fall off. Hopefully, building a new city doesn’t delay the album process.

Lil Durk Expected to Try and Beat Murder-For-Hire Charges
On October 24, Lil Durk was arrested by the U.S. Marshals in Florida for a federal charge of murder-for-hire. The arrest stems from a federal indictment that names five other members of his rap collective, Only The Family (OTF). They are facing accusations of coordinating a murder-for-hire scheme against Quando Rondo to get revenge for the late King Von, who died in 2020. However, Lil Durk is allegedly planning to fight back against this case.
Will Lil Durk plead not guilty?
TMZ has reported that the rapper will enter a “not guilty” plea and is in “great spirits” while at the Federal Detention Center in Miami. Nevertheless, more alleged information has been coming out about the case that could be potentially damning.
According to an affidavit that’s part of the official criminal complaint against Durk, he had booked two international flights: “a one-way flight from Miami to Dubai, United Arab Emirates, connecting through Doha, Qatar, scheduled to depart the evening of October 24; and (ii) a one-way flight from Fort Lauderdale to Switzerland, connecting via New Jersey, also scheduled to depart the evening of October 24.”
While he didn’t end up boarding these flights, the FBI did get notified that the rapper was getting ready to board a private plane from Miami to Italy, and he was arrested an hour before the flight took off.
Fans are creating their theories about why he booked the flights, but Kodak Black’s attorney Bradford Cohen, offered his own professional opinion. According to u/mymixtapez on X, Cohen “said that Lil Durk didn’t want to flee on the day of his arrest but was just checking if he had a warrant by booking a flight.”
Cohen also “mentioned that if Lil Durk had wanted to flee the country, he would likely have chosen to fly to Vietnam, not Italy or Switzerland, where he could be extradited in a matter of hours.”
Cohen isn’t Durk’s lawyer, but his suggested defense is along the same lines as Young Thug’s “Truly Humbled Under God” strategy with his lawyer Brian Steel.
There hasn’t been official confirmation on Durk pleading not guilty. Regardless, his fans are hoping for the best in this tragic situation and are even increasing his music streams.
