Billboard Hot 100

Billboard Hot 100 chart

As reported by Billboard for the week of October 19.

The above chart shows Billboard’s Hot 100 ranking for this week. The Hot 100 ranks songs based on streaming activity, radio airplay audience impressions, and sales data—all measured by Luminate.

"Not Like Us” and “Million Dollar Baby” have maintained their spots from the week before. However, other previous hot hits like The Weeknd’s “Dancing in the Flames” and Glorilla’s “TGIF” have taken a negative blow on the charts.

Ye is Facing New Album Theories and Criminal Accusations

Ye caught between light and dark

Since first announcing his next album, BULLY, in September, Ye has been dropping teasers about what’s to come during his overseas listening parties. He just made one of the new tracks IG official and dropped an official preview of his song “Beauty and the Beast” on his social profile, confirming “BULLY ON THE WAY.”

With all the new album news, people are investigating what the project will be—and also revealing new accusations towards the artist.

Will BULLY have The College Dropout vibes?

According to podcaster and journalist Toure, yessir. He gave a breakdown of previously revealed details on the project while also giving fans a taste of new information.

“Kanye is now living in Tokyo and living in a hotel hard at work on his next album Bully. He’s recording the album in the hotel room. Like, all the machines are set up in the hotel room. … It’s a concept album and he plans to be the only producer on it. Traditionally, Kanye is the product of a team, there are producers helping him, there are writers helping him, he comes with the big ideas but there’s others in. Not this time. This time, Kanye is gonna make this pretty much by himself,” Toure said.

Released in 2004, Ye also produced the majority of The College Dropout, reigniting hopes that Ye will return to his roots for the better.

Toure went into more detail about Ye and BULLY on his Substack, stating that “He might end up being the only rapper on Bully, but it’s not done so who knows.”

He followed that up by citing information from an unnamed source who said, “‘This album is 100% him. He’s producing everything 100% himself. This will be 100% Kanye West, which it hasn't been in many, many years,’” written on Toure’s October 11 Substack post.

It seems like the future for Ye might be a return to the past. However, not everything from the past stays buried.

Ye’s former assistant has new accusations

Ye’s former assistant, Lauren Pisciotta, has amended her previous lawsuit against Ye for wrongful termination and sexual harassment (which was originally filed in June). She is now accusing Ye of drugging and raping her while in a recording studio with Diddy.

According to the lawsuit obtained by Rolling Stone, “Unbeknownst to Plaintiff, the drink she was served was laced with an unidentified drug … After a few small sips of the beverage poured at the direction of Kanye West a.k.a. Ye by a studio assistant and then served to her by Kanye West a.k.a. Ye, Plaintiff suddenly started to feel disoriented. As Plaintiff began to slip into an altered and heavily impaired state, she felt less in control of her body and speech and that is where Plaintiff's memories of that night escape her,” the suit states.

Ye years later allegedly brought up the incident and said that they “did kind of hook up” and reportedly said that “women love to say they don’t remember” when Pisciotta said she had no memory of the interaction, according to the suit.

Ye hasn’t responded to the new accusations, but he previously announced that he plans to counter-sue Pisciotta over the initial lawsuit.

Ye’s legal representative said in June that “in response to these baseless allegations, Ye will be filing a lawsuit against Ms. Pisciotta, who actively pursued him sexually to coerce employment and other material benefits, then engaged in blackmail and extortion when her advances were rejected.”

The rapper has plenty going on right now, but only time will tell on how the lawsuit will play out — or if we will get BULLY within the next decade.

TDE Teases That Kendrick’s New Album is Coming Soon

Ever since K. Dot dropped “Not Like Us” and arguably (but not really) won the rap beef between himself and Drake, people have been waiting for his next big project. It has been over two years since he dropped Mr. Morale and the Big Steppers. However, it seems like the wait might finally be wrapping up.

Is TDE confirming the album’s coming?

TDE affiliate Devin Malik posted on X his mood “cause k dot album otwwww” along with a video of Kendrick performing at “The Pop Out” back in June.

Then, TDE baddie SZA added fuel to the fire by reposting Malik’s tweet on her Instagram, starting the fan theory train, and pointing out the irony of Drake’s “Rich Baby Momma” potentially being a feature on the new project.

SZA's story on Instagram

“We got sza on Kendrick Lamar side before GTA 6,” Instagram user bluebenji.jaay said in the RapTV comments on October 14.

This isn’t the first time those from TDE teased what’s coming next from Kendrick. In June, one of his longtime producers, Terrace Martin, said he was looking forward to the next Kendrick album.

“Aye, let me tell y’all the records I’m excited for. I’m excited for YG’s album, I’m excited for Mustard’s album. I’m excited for a lot of people, but there’s two albums, I’m going crazy, I can’t wait ’til they drop … Roddy Ricch album and whenever Kendrick drops his album, I’m excited for those two. Those two Compton artists is like, I’m excited. So much shit bubbling, you know,” Martin said.

Martin isn’t the only one hyped up about blasting new music from K. Dot. While there hasn’t been any confirmation from Kendrick himself about his next project’s release date, the support from his label is at least hinting that we might get the album before GTA 6 and Playboi Carti’s I AM MUSIC.

Will Kendrick’s new project drop before the Super Bowl?
