Song Streams & Revenue
As reported by Hits Double Daily for Feb 3 to March 23
It’s Thursday and that means new numbers for song streams and revenue. Hits Double Daily’s latest song revenue chart only shows data for the previous streaming week but the chart above reflects data compiled from the last 7 weeks from Feb 3rd to March 23rd.
Ice Spice and PinkPantheress continue to reign supreme with the most profitable song in the last 7 weeks amassing $852,515 dollars from over 150 million streams of “Boys a liar Pt. 2”.
Prediction: “Boys a liar Pt. 2” will break the 1 million revenue mark from about 209 million streams in the next 2 weeks.
Metro Boomin and Lil Uzi Vert are nearing the half-a-million revenue mark from “Creepin” and “Just Wanna Rock” respectively.
Not pictured, The Weeknd’s “Die For You (Remix)” with Ariana Grande made $450,767 dollars in revenue from 93,912,000 million streams during the 4-week period since it was released (Feb 24 to March 23).

Snoop Dogg Once Offered Guest Verse for Weed in South Korea
When in South Korea, or any other foreign country with strict no-cannabis laws, you’re faced with two choices: abstain or get resourceful. Snoop Dogg choose the latter on his first trip to the Asian country, according to celebrity jeweler Ben Baller.
On a recent episode of No Jumper, Baller recalled Snoop hitting him up in need of a weed plug, he reassured Snoop he’d deliver and even told him which hotel he could stay at that would allow him to actually smoke.
“So he goes there—this is like eight years ago—and I pretty much got all the weed possible in the entire country of Korea to his fucking hotel room. He runs through that, so Snoop goes on his social media, and he goes, ‘I don’t give a fuck who you are. Anybody in Korea right now, bring me whatever weed you have.’”
The incentive for Snoop’s call to action? A guest feature on anyone’s song and guaranteed sign-off for clearance. He must have been down bad because the value exchange doesn’t add up and the offer even angered his manager.

Will 2023 be the year of Metro Boomin projects?
It feels like 2017 again when Metro Boomin went on a streak, putting out hit after hit. The producer has announced forthcoming collaborations as if he’s the Oprah of Atlanta. Future, you get a collab album! J.I.D you get a collab album! A$AP Rocky, you get a collab album!
Granted, rappers' promises are about as believable as a Blueface and Chrisean breakup, but Metro’s never been one to say and not do so let’s break down his rumored upcoming projects thus far.

Metro Boomin x J.I.D
Metro took to Twitter this week to announce he’s been in the studio with Dreamville lyricist, J.I.D and they’re cooking up an album. The pair have never released music before but J.I.D confirmed they’re working on an album when he corrected this tweet that said they were teasing a single. On a recent episode of the Throwing Fits podcast, J.I.D said he rapped over a Metro beat chosen for him by Young Nudy and described it as “one of the greatest beats he’s ever heard”.

Metro Boomin x Future
In December of last year, Metro told Apple Music’s Ebro Darden that he didn’t appear on Future’s I Never Liked You album because they want to give fans a full project rather than just a few songs.
“I was like, ‘Look the last time anybody’s really heard a song from me and you was ‘Mask Off’. So instead of us randomly throwing one or two songs we did on here, we got to wait and just give them a joint,’” Metro said. He later confirmed in an interview with Flaunt that you can “definitely bet” on their collab album arriving this year.
Metro Boomin x A$AP Rocky
The last time A$AP Rocky addressed his long-awaited new album, Don’t Be Dumb, was in an interview with GQ in December. Apparently, Metro has such a strong presence on the new album that it might as well be a collaborative effort, and A$AP’s mentor, the late A$AP Yams, always wanted the two of them to work together.
“I'm gonna put it to you like this: This next album needs to be just called Flacko Boomin, you hear me?” said Rocky.
“Yams linked me and Metro in 2012. This is before he's working with a lot of people in Atlanta. He was still in college. A$AP Yams told me Metro was gonna be Metro. He was like ‘This is the kid I'm telling you.’ So, Yams wanted this.” Unsurprisingly, Yams was right and his influence is also said to be felt on the upcoming Flacko Boomin album.
Metro is also working on the soundtrack for the Spider-Man: Across the Spider Verse movie which hits theatres in June.

Lil Uzi Vert Supports JT on Her New Therapy Journey
In a new sidewalk solicitation by TMZ, Lil Uzi Vert shared their support for girlfriend, JT, attending therapy.
The rapper said they were proud of JT for putting her mental health first and revealed they will even be attending some of her upcoming therapy sessions. “You just gotta do it. You just have to really embrace yourself and love yourself,” the rapper said when asked for advice to anyone considering therapy.
JT previously took to Twitter this week to share the below update. More and more rappers are openly advocating for therapy and mental health—6lack’s new album, Since I Have A Lover, is the byproduct of his growth and healing since starting therapy, similar to Kendrick Lamar’s Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers album last year.
Super excited about starting therapy, I encourage you all to do the same! 🤞🏾

The Story Behind Yeat’s Viral Cotton Candy Photo
Last week, we posted a photo of Yeat holding a massive amount of cotton candy, standing next to the business owner of Sweets with L&L, that went viral. A picture’s worth 1,000 words but rather than trying to fill in the blanks we reached out to the owner, Tameia Frank-Jones, and interviewed her to get the full story of what actually happened.

How did Yeat discover this cotton candy store?
On Thursday, March 23rd, Tameia was in her sweets shop in the POST Houston building which is connected to 713 Music Hall, the venue Yeat was performing at. A guy came in from the concert and asked about her cotton candy. He got the watermelon, apple, and birthday cake candy and left.
Little did Tameia know her new customer, Mick Raskin, was a studio engineer on tour with Yeat. Around 11 o’clock that same night, she got a call. “I’m like ‘hello’ and this guy goes ‘I know this sound so stupid but I was at your shop today and I didn’t tell you but I’m with a rapper called Yeat, have you ever heard of him?’” Tameia recounts over Zoom.
She hadn’t heard of Yeat but Mick politely asked if she could deliver a large order of cotton candy to 713 Music Hall before their tour bus left in a few hours. She obliged, despite it being a school night, and got her daughters together, in their pajamas, with her husband to travel the 50 mins back to their shop.
When they arrived at 713 Music Hall, they went to the back where Yeat’s tour bus was and were met by Yeat’s bodyguards and Mick. Yeat had asked if they could come on the tour bus so he could personally thank them.
“So we go on the tour bus and they’re like ‘your cotton candy is the best cotton candy’, they were talking to my daughters, Lauren and London, that’s why it’s called LL Sweets, and they were like ‘we didn’t even know there were that many flavors of cotton candy,’” Tameia says referring to Yeat and his entourage.
Why did he get such a large order?
Turns out, cotton candy is Yeat’s favorite and he’d never tried the watermelon flavor before. Tameia’s sweets left such an impression that Yeat had to stock up before he left Houston and the size of the order wasn’t just a sign of support, he genuinely wanted copious amounts of watermelon cotton candy.
How did the photo happen?
Part of the photo’s virality is attributed to how surprised fans were to see Yeat without his usual ski mask, his on-stage persona has a more ominous vibe than the smiling and wholesome guy holding a Santa Claus size bag of cotton candy. His manager told Tameia he usually dislikes taking photos but she made his day and he was happy to capture the moment.
She emphasized how gracious Yeat was as a customer, he offered to pay an amount well above retail value for the custom order and when she delivered it on the tour bus, he asked for her cash app and paid even more than his initial offer. “It was just a blessing for him to do that because most people will ask for it because they’re already famous but he actually supported,” she said.
How did it positively affect the business?
Tameia has been running Sweets with L&L with her husband for 6 years and they’ve been successful but she’s been trying to build her online presence, particularly on TikTok, and 3 weeks prior she had said she needed to go viral to get it off the ground.
With that context, the Yeat encounter feels kismet or a result of manifestation. The virality boosted her visibility on TikTok, Instagram, and Twitter and exposed her business to people across the world, outside the Houston area where she’s well-known. You can order her cotton candy online, as well as in-store, and she’s had a surge of watermelon cotton candy orders along with customers telling her they found her business on TikTok.
“I really appreciate [Yeat] for doing that from the bottom of my heart and they’ve been sending me pictures of him on the tour bus with the cotton candy. I haven’t posted any of them, I’m just going to take it in myself but it was a really good moment I’ll never forget,” Tameia said in her final words of the encounter.
Tameia’s story sheds light on Yeat as a person, aside from his rap persona, and like the popular food TikToker, Keith Lee, he went above and beyond to show his appreciation and support for a family-owned business.
