Drake Teases New Single & Yeat Feature Ahead of āFor All The Dogsā Release

With only ten days left until For All The Dogs, the amount of Drake-related news on my timeline is borderline exhausting but given the dry news cycle in SeptemberāIām dialed in while remaining blissfully ignorant of Blueface and Chriseanās drama. This week, heās teased a Yeat feature on FATD, announced a new single, pushed a fan onstage, and gotten a response from Noah Lyles. Letās dive in.
Yesterday (Sept 11), Drake told the crowd in Austin, Texas, that heās releasing a new song this week ahead of his album release on September 22. āI know yāall excited to hear the album, I know itās like two weeks out, but Iāma drop a song for yāall this week just to let you know where we at,ā he said.
The undisclosed song will join āSearch & Rescueā as the second official single from FATD. He also had an uninvited guest join him on stage in Austin, and no, it wasnāt a 36G bra, his preferred form of fan mail, but a young fan who looked like a deer in headlights.

Before the show, Drake posted a photo of his face photoshopped onto Yeat with the Drake-ism, ādialed in,ā prompting speculation that Yeat might be featured on FATD. This is the second time Drakeās posted Yeat in his ādialed inā IG stories, the first being a rare photo of Yeat without his ski mask.
Cole Bennett and BNYX (confirmed For All The Dogs collaborators) weighed in on the Yeat pic. All signs are pointing to a Yeat feature alongside Nicki Minaj and Bad Bunny on Drakeās album.

Noah Lyles vs Drake
Remember Noah Lyles? The track star who infamously upset NBA players and Drake with his statement that āworld championsā is not a fitting title for a basketball league comprised only of North American teams. Drake first dissed Lylesā by commenting, āHe thought this speech was gonna be so hard in the mirror the night beforeā¦now the whole league doesnāt rate you.ā
Lylesā speech, despite being controversial, became a lot more valid when Team USA came in 4th place at the FIBA World Cup over the weekend. In an interview with GQ Sports, Lyles spoke on the aftermath of his viral comment, calling the shots directed his way āairballs,ā and addressing Drakeās digs specifically.
āThere are a bunch of funny things that come from it, like having Drake notice it. Like, Drake, what are you doing here? Go back home. This is an NBA conversation,ā said Lyles (heard as Ariana, what are you doing here?! in my brain).
Drake has likely moved onto other internet conversations but an audio clip of Lylesā speech remixed in a FATD song, like Kim K in āSearch & Rescue,ā is the response this random beef deserves.
Lil Tecca vs Drake
In a bold move, Lil Tecca announced his upcoming album, TEC, via a fleet of limos driven around NYC with a release date of September 22āthe same day as For All The Dogs. The album looks promising based on its already released singles (āNeed Me,ā ā500LBS,ā and āHVN On Earthā), but itās guaranteed to be overshadowed by Drake.

Diddyās Ex-Bodyguard Claims Tupac Was Murdered By LAPD

The unanswered question of āwho murdered Tupac?ā got a new theory this week thanks to Diddyās ex-bodyguard, Gene Deal, who pointed the finger at the LAPD. Earlier this summer, Keefe D, was subject to a home raid in support of the theory that his nephew, Orlando Anderson, was Tupacās killer. Everything known about both is broken down below.
The connection between Tupac and Biggieās murders
Speaking to The Art of Dialogue, Deal referenced a quote by Death Row founder Suge Knight, who said, āIf you solve one murder, you solve them both,ā related to the deaths of Tupac and Biggie.
āSuge said that Rafael PĆ©rez and David Mack was trying to kill himāthose are the same people that was trying to kill B.I.G.,ā Deal continued mentioning the disgraced cops accused of conspiring with someone at Death Row Records to murder Biggie.
Both cops were at the scene of Biggieās murder, proven by photographs, and Deal alleges that someone was conspiring with the cops amid the Death Row and Bad Boy feud, but āthey couldnāt get Puff, and B.I.G. was collateral damage.ā
The LAPDās motive
Deal claims that Tupac had suspicions of money being stolen from him at Death Row. āTupac put an audit in two or three weeks prior to his murder and started firing people and trying to figure out where his money was at and where it was going. So now, if youāve been stealing money and you inside and everything could be connected to you, what are you gonna do?ā he said.
The final piece of Dealās theory is that whoever was stealing money from Tupac was inside Death Row and hired dirty LAPD cops to silence him. In regards to Keefe Dās claims about Tupacās murder, Deal and Tupacās biological father believe Keefeās story is a lie to cover up the truth. Read the context below to find out why.
Context for those of you out touching grass
Keefe D is a former Crip and the uncle of fellow Crip Orlando Andersonāthe prime suspect in Tupacās murder case. The Compton gang had a rivalry with Death Row in the ā90s, which allegedly reached a boiling point the night of Tupacās murder.
Tupac, Suge, Keefe, and Anderson were involved in a fight inside the MGM Grand Casino, and the story goes that Anderson orchestrated the drive-by shooting, murdering Tupac, in retaliation for the fight.
For years, Keefe has been openly saying his nephew was the gunman, but Anderson died in 1998, and no one else can corroborate his story. Keefe confessed this to police in 2009 under the agreement that his statement couldnāt be used to prosecute him.
There have been suspicions that evidence related to Tupacās murder was fumbled or destroyed in the past. In 1998, a .40 caliber Glock was found in a Compton backyard that was suspected as the murder weapon. What happened next is unclear. Some say the Glock was tested and not a match, while others say it was never transferred to Las Vegas police.
Why this matters
What stands out about the LAPD theory is that scattered pieces of information make a lot more sense when paired with this motive. Deal and Tupacās biological father have said they donāt believe Keefeās story, implying itās a cover-up.
Tupacās father pointed out that the government gave Keefe the deal that conveniently allowed him to confessāwhich has become public information. The suspicions about cops tampering with evidence relate to a potential murder weapon found in the LAPDās district. But if Dealās theory is true, thereās still the mystery of a money-snatching mastermind who was calling the shots behind the scenes.
